Was it your first mention of profanity as well? And, to be pedantic (and I know you have a pedantic penchant [better than a pantaloon pendant]), profanity is taking a term that refers to something sacred or holy or important and using it for something base. Taking the Lord's name in vain is an example. I don't hold bovine feces to such a high level, but perhaps you do.
