Great Timing

Today is the last day of the spring semester; after my final two hours of teaching, all that's left is final exams (and tons of grading).  I thought it rather poor timing that just this morning I received a letter from the dean's office indicating that the ARRT (Academic Rank, Reappointment, and Tenure) Committee has recommended that I be reappointed for next year.  I turned in my reappointment folder the start of February.  I can imagine that it takes a long time to wade through all the materials for all the faculty up for reappointment in the college--but surely it shouldn't take until the last day of the term to let people know, should it?  What about those individuals who aren 't recommended for reappointment?
