Today, I posted off the corrected page proofs and the index for Free Will. The copy-editing has been outsourced to India (I'm a supporter of global commerce). You can follow its voyage here. Once the corrections have been made--and there are quite a few, as they messed up some formatting and made some actual changes to the text that I had to change back!--it will head back to the publisher in London. I'm hoping that means that it will then return to me, magically transformed into a bound book.
At Graphic World I used to work with compositors in India, Malaysia, and Hong Kong. I was the only person in our office who could figure out international calling codes (for some reason), so I often called them, and I was invited to a wedding in Malaysia and one in India as a result. Too bad I couldn't go!
