The Beauty of College Football...

As I may have mentioned before, Al and I love college football.  And this year has been GREAT so far.

First, there was this wonderful start to the season:

Ah, poor Wolverines

As a Buckeye fan, it's a joy to be able to join the entire country in laughing at the Wolverines.

Last week's set of games was also great, with a ton of upsets:

a week of upsets

This lead to our beloved Buckeyes being ranked #4 heading into today's games.

Go Bucks!

And they're only going up.

First, after Ick's Auburn Tigers went into the Swamp and upset the Gators last week, the Gators nearly have their revenge tonight on the LSU Tigers in the Bayou.

And in a story that is perhaps as surprising and glorious as App-State beating Michigan in the Big House, there is this:

Way to go, Harbaugh!

Despite being favored by nearly 6 touchdowns, the mighty Trojans fall, at home, to the Cardinals--snapping the Trojan's 35-game home winning streak.  (In related news, Stanford's new head coach came from USD.)  Muahhh, hahhhh, hahhhhhh.

The Buckeyes won again today rather handily, moving to 6-0.  They should be #3 in the nation come Monday morning.

Granted, my beloved Irish aren't looking great good acceptable respectable decent this year.  But they did get their first win of the season over UCLA on the road.

With weekends like this, no wonder we love college football.
